Biopet is an online store for pet products, offering everything from everyday food to accessories for pet owners. As the brand grew, it became clear that most customers were interacting with Biopet on their phones. Our challenge was to move beyond a desktop-centric experience and create a mobile app that truly matched how users shop today.
While traffic was largely mobile, the previous experience was not. The interface had been designed with desktop behavior in mind, which made browsing, comparing products, and checking out feel slow and awkward on smaller screens. This friction directly affected usability and satisfaction. Biopet needed a mobile app experience that felt natural, fast, and effortless from the first tap to the final purchase.
We designed the experience from the ground up with a mobile-first mindset. The new app feels native and intuitive, with simplified navigation, clear hierarchy, and touch-friendly interactions throughout. Browsing products is faster, managing the cart is easier, and checkout flows are more direct.
To improve discovery and encourage exploration, we introduced two clear fast tracks: Brands and Deals. Brand hubs allow returning customers to quickly find products from names they already trust - from Gemon to Schesir and beyond - while a dedicated deals section highlights value without overwhelming the core catalog. These paths reduce search fatigue and help users reach relevant products faster, keeping shopping focused and intentional.
We concentrated on the most critical moments of the journey: discovering the right category, evaluating product details, and completing a purchase. Search and filtering were optimized specifically for mobile use, making them easy to access and simple to refine. Product pages were streamlined so imagery, pricing, and key information are immediately visible. The cart and checkout were shortened and simplified, allowing users to place an order in just a few taps.
The app was developed using Flutter, enabling a consistent, high-performance experience across platforms. Smooth animations, responsive interactions, and fast load times ensure the interface feels polished and native, while maintaining scalability for future features. The focus throughout was on performance, stability, and delivering a seamless shopping experience users can rely on daily.
The result is a smoother, faster, and more enjoyable mobile app experience. Biopet customers can now browse and buy directly from their phones without friction, interruptions, or unnecessary steps. The app feels modern, accessible, and purpose-built for everyday use, reinforcing Biopet’s position as a reliable choice for pet owners.
